Every year, my family and I host a haunted house at home. We love to do this and spend a month setting up all our special effects and decorations. (six weeks to clean it up too! groan)
This year I decided at the last minute to dig a "Portal to Hades". Its a simple hole in the ground with a red spotlight and a fog machine coming out of it. Add a plastic pitchfork and voila! Instant portal to Hell. I put Hades on the sign as not to scare the little kids on the block.
Long story short...my best friend was rushed when he came to visit on Halloween and didn't have a chance to really look at the yard. He told me he hoped that I took some good pictures and I told him I hoped I did too. I had run outside just after 9 pm and just clicked a few shots with my digital camera. Five days later (tonite) I decided to check the pic on the screen of my camera and I yelled when I saw the pix below. I ran out to Walgreens at 10 pm and had them print me a 5x7. Please tell me what you think. I zoomed in and saw something that should have scared the wits out of me. ( we had a murder a block from my house 11 days before Halloween...) I am normally afraid of everything on the planet but for some reason this doesn't bother me. Out of the 20 places I've lived in my lifetime, I feel most safe here, happiest here.
